Oddly enough, I’ve discovered that lots of traffic comes to my blog because people want to know how many chromosomes men have. (It’s the fault of my Too Many X Chromosomes post, which actually has nothing to do with chromosomes themselves.)
So I thought I’d do a public service and make the answer available here. 🙂
Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes in each cell (46 chromosomes total), whether we are female or male. The difference is that the 23rd chromosome pair is two Xs in a female, but an X and a Y in a male. This accounts for the difference in sex.
Now that you have your answer, your duty is to go read my other posts and make me feel like you care. 😉
